As a tenant at Stena Center, you automatically have access to a range of social activities, both within Stena Center and in the surrounding area. Stena Center hosts everything from social gatherings in the lounge and Thursday’s breakfasts to more organised events.

The lounge

The lounge is located in the heart of Stena Center. People move here daily between meetings, for lunch, a coffee, or just to stop by and chat for a while.

Recording studio

As a tenant, you have the opportunity to borrow the recording studio. Here you have access to camera equipment, sound, light and green screen.

conference rooms

At Stena Center, we offer our tenants different sizes of conference rooms. The sizes various from 2 people up to 14 people. If you need a bigger event we have our event space Veras gräsmatta.

event space

Our rentable event space Veras gräsmatta is flexible for event and gatherings with a focus on entrepreneurship and innovation. Our open area gives your event an extra edge.

Our aim is for students, startups, researchers, entrepreneurs, creators, companies and organisations to meet, share ideas and co-create the future.

The capacity for the space are everything from small meetings to big gatherings of 150 people. With a stage, image and sound system, a pentry, 2 conference rooms and a loft, the possibilities are endless. Read more >>>

Stena Center was founded in a historic location

The Chalmers Innovation Foundation was established in 1997 with the explicit purpose of promoting and developing new innovative and technology-based businesses in the Gothenburg area. In 1999 Sten A. Olsson foundation made a generous donation and made it possible to buy the old Holtermanska hospital in Landala. This generous donation from the Sten A. Olsson Foundation also enabled an extensive renovation of the property, which, in connection with this, was named 'Stena Center.'

From 1999 to 2020, Stena Center was located at the Holtermanska Hospital, opposite the main entrance of Chalmers. During these years, hundreds of startups have passed through these doors, each leaving with new experiences and insights.

In 2020, Stena Center took the next step and moved in to the Vasa area, inside Chalmers University of Technology, Johanneberg. Stena Center became neighbour with other entrepreneurial and innovative initiatives such as Founders Loft, Chalmers Ventures, Chalmers School of Entrepreneurship and more.
